Santorum exploring Secret Service protection (apparently he is afraid of OWS)

BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Republican presidential contender Rick Santorum is exploring Secret Service protection following a rowdy rally in Washington state earlier in the week.

Santorum says it's "a sad state of affairs," especially after he spent several weeks campaigning in a supporter's pickup truck. But for his family's sake, he says, he's in discussions with the Secret Service.

Santorum hosted an outdoor rally adjacent to the campsite of Tacoma, Wash., Occupy protesters Monday night. They chanted and yelled during most of the event. Two protesters were dragged away by police.

Reflecting on the experience after another campaign stop Tuesday night, Santorum says it's unfortunate that some people "can get a little rowdy and sometimes a little violent."

3. I know. Cain had "credible threats" and that's probably not outside the realm of possibility.

But Santorum? That means his crowds are getting HUGE, and if his crowds are getting huge, then his percentage of the take is likely to follow. Thus, Mitt will be frightened, because he Fears The Santorum Surge!!!!!

Slamming OWS as the cause was expected. He wasn't going to claim he's nervous about people wearing teabags on their hat and packing .357 sidearms...right?

I'm sorry, but I just had to say it.

He was here today, and because of that, it was on the tv's local news reports, and I had to sit and listen to the local reporters talk and act like Little Ricky was a viable candidate to become the President of the United States. I don't know how they could keep a straight face when reporting about his visit here.

Hell, he's not even a viable candidate to be a human bean, as far as I'm concerned.

Was George a human being? I never noticed. (Certainly Cheney wasn't.)

and got all pissy because they were there? What did he expect? He was "adjacent to the campsite of Tacoma, Wash., Occupy protesters" that day. It sounds like he just wanted to start something really.

who acted like complete thugs at congressional community meetings - they were "just angry" and had every constitutional right to express their thoughts, right?

Rowdy, ok, yeah, Occupy can get rowdy.

Violent? Did not happen. Not.

Secret Service is not there to protect you from "rowdy", Mr Santorum. Sheesh, can't take a little "reverse teabaggery", eh?
