http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/02/16/hillary-clinton-barks-like-dog-breaks-internet/80447162/Few can accuse the former secretary of State of being too scripted on the campaign trail Monday in Nevada. First, Clinton compared pharmaceutical entrepreneur Martin Shkreli to a bad blind date. Then, she barked like a dog.
Seriously.

(30,481 posts)Republicans attempt to turn it around as a smear on Clinton.
Here is what right wingers are attacking her over.
"One of my favorite political ads of all time was a radio ad in rural Arkansas where the announcer said, 'Wouldn't it be great if somebody running for office said something, we could have an immediate reaction to whether it was true or not. Well, we have trained this dog. Well, the dog, if it is not true, he is going to bark,'" Clinton said. "And the dog was barking on the radio and so people were barking at each other for days after that."
"I want to figure out how we can do that with Republicans. We need to get that dog and follow them around and every time they say these things like, 'Oh, the Great Recession was caused by too much regulation,' arh, arh, arh, arh," Clinton said, letting out a barking noise that caused the audience to laugh and some people to mimic her.
The right wing spin machine directed at LIV's is truly disgusting.

(30,481 posts)I have no problem filling that truthful void.

This makes right wingers heads explode. Love it. There is no stoop too low for right wingers. What they are doing with this is the exact same as President Clintons remarks that were recently and horribly taken out of context by the right.

(13,877 posts)If they aren't listening to her superior campaign drivel, she's gone beyond dog whistle to just plain every day dog language.

(23,970 posts)she just gave the equivalent of a "Dean scream"
context and circumstances are irrelevant
the audio of HRC barking is going to end up on every shock jock show in North America
further confirming my assessment of HRC as an excellent debater and a mediocre campaigner

(4,387 posts)...It may also come up in the next Republican debate, most likely by Trump. He would.

(4,387 posts)...nothing has been as quirky and soundbite-able as this. A "Dean Scream" label should only be reserved for when candidates make sounds that aren't easily typed out. Just my opinion. I can't think of anything comparable from Bernie.

(59,504 posts)He was supposed to win Iowa and lost to Kerry by 20 points. He was far behind Edwards too.
He did become a very good surrogate for Kerry and then DNC head. The latter was more than what could have been predicted when he did so poorly.

(1,238 posts)A bit of a weird moment, but its better than her normal robotic maneuvers.
I'm not even going to listen because I don't want to be part of making fun of it. If it were my candidate doing this, I'd think it was off-the-cuff and charming.
