At this point, I'm going to leave the primaries completely

up to the voters and stop commenting on them in GD . I will, instead, focus on the general election and the need to GOTV to elect Democrats to all offices, not just the presidency. The Democratic primaries will be decided, as always by people who actually turn out to their polling place or caucus, not by people attacking the Democratic candidates in those primaries. GD no longer seems valuable to me in the primary elections, due to excessive polarization. Others may still find it useful.

I'm content, as always, to let the voters in all 50 states decide who should get the nomination at the Democratic convention. They'll vote, and delegates will be selected according the the proportions of that voting.

I'll still be reading in GD and clicking the DU Rec button from time to time, but I'm dropping out of participating in discussions regarding these primaries. As my last word on them, I'll just say:

Vote in the primary election or caucus in your state according to your best judgment. Once you have done that, please, please get involved in GOTV efforts to bring as many Democratic voters to the polls in November as possible. Only then will we defeat the Republican nominee and gain seats in our state and federal legislatures.

See you after the Democratic Nominating Convention.

My children and their children will be better off for it. I love progressives who work locally and keep working for the big picture in a sensible manner.

... considering how many "missing" numbers there are when I'm viewing the list of replies, I see that many on my ignore list are chiming-in with their thoughts and comments.

I can only imagine what they may be saying. Perhaps good, perhaps bad, I guess I'll never know for sure (nor am I at all certain that I actually want to know.)

In any case, if there are any negative or snarky comments, I'm sure that they help to illustrate the impetus behind MM's decision, and validate much of what he's observed and explained.

Fortunately, the days continue to pass. This will all be over very soon.

Go, Hillary! We love you!

It's an outrage! That's what we need to focus our attention on... fixing a broken political system where politicians can be bought and paid for by lobbyists and corporate interest groups!

but this part of the op was interesting

"I'm content, as always, to let the voters in all 50 states decide who should get the nomination at the Democratic convention. They'll vote, and delegates will be selected according the the proportions of that voting."

don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but it kind of sounds like he is confident of a result reflecting the will of the voters

but we do have to keep the pressure on for sure, else something slip in under our noses..
