Here's an interesting New York Times article focusing on the important role of Latinos and Latinas in both Bernie and Hillary's campaigns in this year's Nevada caucuses.
The story delves into the motivations between the supporters of both.

Buried down in the story, however, is an interesting statistic:
Mrs. Clinton opened her first campaign office in the state in April, six months before Mr. Sanders, and claims 7,000 volunteers to his 2,000. (Bernies campaign says they are trying to make up the difference with paid advertising.)

(30,058 posts)Volunteers are union members. In fact the former president of my union is on Sanders campaign staff, still do not agree with his endorsement.

(23,156 posts)Although a couple of weeks ago the Bernie campaign said they really didn't need any more volunteers there.
I'd also understood that in concentrating on Iowa -- and what a stunning victory that was for her! -- many offices were closed in other states.

(251 posts)once each for Hillary and Bernie. Not that it's indicative of anything, but we live in a highly populated area of Nevada that I would expect campaign volunteers to hit hard thanks to the ability to interact with many people quickly.
Of the campaign mailings, I'd say we got a little more from Hillary than Bernie, but not significantly more.
