1. I like the guy a lot, but

I'll still be criticizing him in office even as I've criticized some of the things he's done or said already. He's great, but he can be even better, and it's our job to challenge him to be so.

And, of course, it's not about him, but about him being a tool to bring about a change in direction for the country. If he's what we need him to be, he's just the tip of the change iceberg, spurring ever more liberals to run and run strongly and proudly and unapologetically. Dragging us away from neoliberal foreign adventurism and exploitative colonialism, away from punishing our own citizens for doing what they have to to survive in a system not designed for them.
