"Great Leaders Talk with their Hands" Forbes

Go ahead and have at it Hillaryites. People who speak with their hands are passionate people.
If this is your newest kitchen sink, so be it.

http://www.forbes.com/2010/09/21/body-language-hands-gestures-forbes-woman-leadership-communication.html

Have you ever noticed that when people are passionate about what they’re saying, their gestures automatically become more animated? Their hands and arms move about, emphasizing points and conveying enthusiasm.

You may not have been aware of this connection before, but you instinctively felt it. Research shows that audiences tend to view people who use a greater variety of gestures in a more favorable light. Studies have found that people who communicate through active gesturing tend to be evaluated as warm, agreeable and energetic, while those who remain still (or whose gestures seem mechanical or “wooden”) are seen as logical, cold, and analytical.

That’s one of the reasons why gestures are so critical to a leader and why getting them right in a presentation connects so powerfully with an audience.

According to Psychology Today - Maybe Hillary should try it -
Hands hidden -- If your audience can’t see your hands, it will be hard for them to trust you.

People have to understand that passion trumps (no pun) technocratic coolness everytime. Surely those who watched the debate noticed how Hillary was using more gestures on stage, and if you see any of her recent campaign events it is the same thing.

When people see Bernie gesticulating they may not realize it but they are more willing to listen and empathise with what he is saying.

Way back in high school my debate coach taught all of us just that. We won a lot of debates.

Q: How do you get a little, old Italian guy to stop talking?

A: Hold his hands.

If ANYONE is offended, I will delete this.

Cheers.

At seventy years old, and the only career politician on the den side; where is the decades of great leadership you are claiming.

How about that. No name calling or nastiness.

I do see a pattern this election cycle. Terms are being redefined non-stop and leadership is now found in hand movements. Comedy if nothing else.
