Related: About this forumNo less than SIX New Hampshire newspapers endorsed Hillary Clinton...
And Bernie Sanders went on to garner more votes than any previous New Hampshire primary candidate from either party.

(24,853 posts)I hope people don't think I lack empathy... damn if I don't feel for the whole Hillary Clinton society. To feel it slipping slowly through their hands knowing the end of that rope is so near must be so disheartening. I feel for them I really do.

They really do not matter anymore. They are empty noise.
For the papers, well it is a dying business, so the people who tend to read them are already mostly in the bag for Mrs Clinton. The DC insiders... people have so much respect for those within the beltway that really warms my heart.
Where endorsements still make some of a difference (and it is a good question for how long) it is in local politics.
This is quite the unvarnished truth.

(17,064 posts)M$M is dying. Newspaper endorsements don't mean much, TV viewership is fading (even cable), and radio is almost dead. All those advertising dollars don't reach that much of a market, even among older folks. It's a changing world. Bernies campaign gets it, Hillary's team doesn't. That's why a carefully orchestrated Swiftboat attack crumbled in a few hours, and the front men for it are being disemboweled on Twitter.

MSM must be confused.

(23,664 posts)to pick up a sunday paper. Its about ten miles and there are probably 15 homes between me and the station. In the old days, all 15 had a newspaper box mounted on the pole with their mailbox. Now, one.
I get a call from the paper at least once a month offering me some fantastic deal to resubscribe. But what they cannot get around is the fact that it costs them a fucking fortune to deliver papers out here to Bumfuck Nowhere. So they really don't have a chance.
Point is, nobody reads newspapers and consequently, those endorsements really amount to nothing.

(6,960 posts)They all just feed into the prevailing narrative that Hillary Clinton is a tool of the elite establishment.
As for the endorsement of Clinton by the Las Vegas Sun, well, big deal.
The paper published afternoons on weekdays from 1990 to 2005. The paper is now included as a section inside the pages of Las Vegas Review-Journal but continues operating exclusively on its website.
Publisher and president Brian Greenspun, former publisher Hank Greenspun's son, was a college roommate of President Bill Clinton. Greenspan welcomed Clinton, while president, as a house guest during a Clinton fundraising trip to southern Nevada.
