2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHave we all forgotten that Clinton was part of the RW Evangelical "The Family" circle?
That's another reason I don't trust her one bit.

(14,733 posts)Google David Coe, the leader. Basically Western theocrats, who think Christianity should control the 'seven mountains', of which politics is one, and that all politicians should be Christians and run their countries by Christian precepts. They've got a fair number of 'Family' mebers already on the right side of the aisle, but some Dems too.

(20,453 posts)I won't make harsh remarks about anyone's religiosity, because they all use it without us EVER knowing how sincere they are when they use it.
I know who DOESN'T use it, and I know that Clinton has this history does use profess her religion. Her actions speak much louder than her words, since it means little when it comes to hegemony and all those people who are caught up in the red mist of war mongering.
Prayer and Fellowship... For what REAL reason? We'll never know soon enough, since they all routinely change their stories of what they believe in.

(14,733 posts)I can't remember his name, but he keeps an eye on cult types sorta like the SPLC keeps an eye on hate groups.
If you google Daily Kos Family David Coe, you'll see a couple of articles about Hillary's ties to them in the first few links that pop up.

(14,317 posts)and it gave me several articles about this, most over 8 years old. They detail that she attended meetings of this group beginning when she was first lady and continuing through the W Bush years. As SoS, her schedule probably would not have allowed her to continue with them as before, and I do not see any recent allegations of her association with The Family.
I'm all for people believing what they want, but these are some of the most powerful people in the country and world, and many of their aims sound more theocratic than democratic.

(25,253 posts)called 'The Family'? I recall something about a townhouse in DC they used. And didn't Rachel Maddow make a big deal about this book and have the author on her program a number of times?
