The dems are gonna savage the GOP on this one and my conservative but not crazy friend has already said let Pres O nominate and that the senate should confirm for him Said that's what he would expect a repub Pres and Dem congress to do the same I don't think this is gonna work for the GOP this time People are anti establishment this year for this very reason

Then when the GOP invariably oppposes them we will have a great issue in the Fall to bolster their participation.

Find a left of center but broadly acceptable one...That will push the GOP into a corner.

no one of Asian decent has been on the Supreme Court before so it would be historic.

He's on the D.C. Court of Appeals and was passed unanimously by the Senate before this. This would put the GOP in the position of opposing a justice they once approved.

I'm glad that she added a zinger about the Republicans calling for the seat to remain vacant. It's only February, plenty of time to nominate another justice.

Leaving the radical right no reasonable way to attack her statement. Unreasonable attacks are the norm on her, so no one will be listening except those who hear only what they want to hear. But that's just for Fox Noise, Louie Gohmert, Ann Coulter, Trey Gowdy, and Tom Cotton. But she didn't leave McTurtle and Cruz-you-lose any opening here. I hope Bernie comes out with something similar. Then our candidates' armor will be without a weakness for the Republicans to penetrate.

I read that as "crazy jackass who should've been removed from the court years ago."
