Jesse Jackson Affirms That Bernie Sanders Was Active In the Civil Rights Movement:

WASHINGTON — Rainbow Push Coalition president Rev. Jesse Jackson told The Daily Caller Friday that Sen. Bernie Sanders was active in the Civil Rights movement in Chicago.

illegitimate sources. Their motivations must be questioned and their opinions tossed out as tainted with personal vindictiveness.

I'm glad he stuck up for Bernie. It shouldn't have to this but it has.

Does anybody remember this little incident?

Two years earlier, when Sanders attended a Democratic caucus in Burlington, a number of caucus-goers he recognized as “old-time Dems” stood and turned their backs as he gave a speech in support of presidential candidate Jesse Jackson. When Sanders returned to his seat afterwards, a woman slapped him in the face.
