http://www.thewrap.com/bernie-sanders-supporters-pummel-civil-rights-hero-john-lewis-on-twitter-video/Georgia congressman John Lewis was on the receiving end of Twitters wrath after he appeared to dismiss Bernie Sanders work during the civil rights era.
Lewis, a civil rights icon who walked with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Selma, Alabama was endorsing Hillary Clinton for president when he was asked about Sanders participation in the civil rights movement.
I never saw him. I never met him, Lewis said. I chaired the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee for three years from 1963 to 1966. I was involved in the sit-ins, the Freedom Rides, the March on Washington, the march from Selma to Montgomery and directed the voter education project for six years. I met Hillary Clinton, I met President Clinton.
That apparently didnt sit will with Sanders supporters. Lewis quickly became a top trending topic on Thursday, with some trolling Lewis on Twitter:

BTW, Click on those examples in that story: None of those people have Bernie stuff all over their home pages. One guy has a lot about politics, in general, one girl misses Whitney Houston, another guy likes to repost a lot of stuff about a variety of things and the last one is a sports fan.
NONE of them have Bernie stuff on their pages.

(6,436 posts)... I found out about the trolling of Lewis by seeing it mentioned on Reddit, which took me to theWrap article..

Clinton received the endorsement Thursday of the Congressional Black Caucus political action committee, which could provide a big boost, particularly in South Carolina, where a large proportion of black voters are expected to turn out for the Democratic primary. During a press conference announcing the endorsement, Lewis, the preeminent voice of the civil-rights movement in Congress, praised Clinton and criticized Sanders.
I never saw [Sanders], I never met him. I was chair of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee for three years, 1963 to 1966, Lewis said at the press conference. I was involved in the sit-ins, the freedom rides, the March on Washington, the march from Selma to Montgomery. I directed the board of education project for six years. I met Hillary Clinton. I met President [Bill] Clinton.
Sanders has frequently talked on the campaign trail about his work as an organizer with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and about attending the March on Washington in 1963. Meanwhile, Clinton has emphasized her experience working for the Childrens Defense Fund and investigating schools in the South that were discriminating against black families.
After Lewis comments, Sanders supporters were not happy. Some painted the Congressional Black Caucus PAC, which made the Clinton endorsement, as part of the establishment Sanders is taking on, pointing out it has often taken donations from lobbyists. Others criticized Lewis on Facebook and Twitter, calling him everything from a sellout to a house n---- over his remarks about Sanders.

here's the link: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511213389#post1
you comment says LexVegas uttered the insult of Lewis. He did not. he said he had seen somebody make that insult on the GDP forum.
Try to refrain from disinformation and untrue allegations of DUers.

(8,462 posts)That they don't appear in a Google search means the poster who did was a troll and was banned. The person who keeps repeating it alludes that it was a Sanders supporter. I can't find the troll post as it was rightly deleted.
But I don't appreciate the continued posting it to catapult the propaganda.
Edit: I see further down the thread. I want to know who it was if they are still here. It's NOT acceptable.

(8,462 posts)I went looking. Point out those who said it originally. I want to make sure they pay for saying something completely fucking unacceptable. I only found one person repeating it. MIRT/Admin removed trolls become "Named Removed" so troll posts don't show on Google.

(11,366 posts)Go to that story and click on the names of the Twitter users they're calling Bernie fans. Not a one of them has anything about Bernie on their home pages. Well, one guy sort of does - but he seems to enjoy politics in general, so he has links about other politicians, too.
But none of them have Bernie stuff adorning their home pages.

(154,021 posts)every time I hear of supposed bernie supporters doing horrible things, after what has been done to regulars on this site by Hillary supporters. that's me in the corner, having an extremely good laugh.
Also if Brock says it, it is automatically suspect. He is known for smears and lies.
