Rasmussen: OBAMA still at (+2)!!!!

Friday, October 05, 2012

Obama - 49%

Romney - 47%

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows President Obama attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns the vote from 47%. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided. See daily tracking history.

These results are based upon nightly interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, only about one-third of the interviews for today’s update were conducted after the presidential debate. The single night of polling conducted after the debate did show some improvement for Romney, but it remains to be seen whether that will continue or if it was merely statistical noise. Sunday morning’s update will be the first national polling based entirely upon post-debate interviews.

Ya know that if there was a major swing toward Romney post-debate, Ras would have Drudge to roll out the blaring sirens!

The point is that even if Obama takes a hit in a couple of days from now when the rest of the post-debate polling comes through, it is unlikely to be enough to hurt him much.

And whatever hit Obama took in the debates, will likely be offset by an increase in the polls after the huge news about the 7.8% unemployment rate, yes?

is not bad at all. Don't be surprised to have them showing Romney plus one or two Monday. But the fact that they said Romney had only modest improvement in one night of post debate polling is very telling.

The debate effect may be short-lived indeed.

I agree. Events may be moving too fast for Mittbot to keep up. Stop it, this is hard. And LOL at ScottyRazz as usual. Sounds like a pretty small increase for his pet candidate. Back to the kitchen for more cooking, no doubt. Jerk.

For once Rasmussen has given us better numbers than he has for the Republicans.

The folks at FR are going to be pretty upset. Look at it from their point of view - 2 days after the debate, and Obama is STILL ahead of Romney in Rasmussen.

And btw, Obama is at 50% Approval in this poll. Don't think I mentioned that in my OP.

And this is BEFORE the Jobs Report came out.
