I gotta say, I am not convinced that rMoney "won" that debate in the slightest. I think Big Bird won!

This is the GenXer's Revenge. If you are fifty years old or younger, you "grew up on Sesame Street". Romney is an early boomer - Sesame Street was way after his time, so he could not have realized just how raw a nerve he touched last night with his remarks about firing or killing Big Bird. I suspect that for a lot of younger people who had only been following this election peripherally, it just became real.

boys--is he such a detached and distracted parent that he had no clue that THEY grew up on Sesame Street?

Or is the reason they are so cold and clueless, like their miserable paw, is because they never learned those lessons of kindness and inclusion, along with letters and numbers and stories and so forth, that kids of their age and stage watched on TV? Annie never parked the crew of monsters in front of the electronic babysitter....ever?

Who hasn't watched Sesame Street with a child, even those of us who were adults by the time it came along?
