Who's next, Mitt? Santa Claus? The Easter Bunny?

As silly as this may sound to some here, I think Mitt Romney made a huge blunder last night. Beside acting like a boorish jerk and a bully for 90 minutes, he may have stepped in something much stickier.

To single out a beloved children's television character for elimination, in a nationally televised debate, could have very serious ramifications for anyone seeking to come across as a caring, compassionate leader of all the citizens of this country.

It's like grabbing a child's ice cream cone and throwing it away, in front of millions of viewers.

In an ironic way, this could be the death knell for his dream of becoming president.

My youngest grandson tuned in on that. He was very upset. He watches PBS every day. appleannie1 Oct 2012 #1

I think he's going to feel repercussions from this stupid idea.
