The Mormon owners of a Mexican cafe in Denver say that they have gotten death threats, hate calls and fake orders after refusing to allow Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney to make campaign stop at their restaurant.
One person who called said, Watch your back. We know where live and were going after you, Oscar Aguirre, the son of the owners of Rosa Linda Mexican Cafe, told KMGH New Media Producer Wayne Harrison. We just didnt want our business used as a campaign stop.
Aguirre explained that callers had been misinformed that the restaurant had refused to serve Romney.

(10 posts)Politics and business do not mix.
I have found out the hard way that being political and in business can lead to a lower bottom line.
I ran for a local post 2 years ago and no matter what you do your going to piss off 30- 50 percent of the people maybe more. I have paid for my mistake for two years.
We are not even putting up signs this year. It is just to dangerous and we cannot afford to lose one customer in this economy.
I would not let any candidate stump at my business, it just makes half of your customers mad.

(320 posts)Just saw a segment on the local news. There were lines out the door at this restaurant for dinner tonight. After the story broke, the people of Denver have come out in droves to support it.
Screw you haters!
