Acknowledged...Bernie hurts down ticket candidates

I've been saying this for months.

Comes buried in an article where Rep Lewis thinks Bernie's Civil rights marching or sit ins has amounted to nothing, and has not actually done anything to promote civil rights.

http://www.wsbtv.com/ap/ap/top-news/john-lewis-on-sanders-civil-rights-work-never-saw-/nqNhw/

Privately, Democrats fear that Sanders as the nominee would lead to major losses in House and Senate races.
In a swipe at Sanders, Rep. G.K. Butterfield, D-N.C., chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, said the country needs a president "who doesn't simply campaign and promise wonderful things, things that are politically impossible to achieve."

He supported civil rights and was arrested for his participation at a time when it was unusual for a white man to do so. He supported equality for Gay Americans in the 1970's when almost no one was doing so except gay people. As a politician, he has made very unpopular votes at the time that turned out later to be the right thing to do. He does not test the political winds or have focus groups to decide his position on the issues.

And, he does not give up on something just because it is hard to do, that's what his opponent does!

What has our ticket presently accomplished? Has YOUR real income gone up? Has most of the nation's? Are you better off now than you were 10, 20, 30 years ago? No? Then perhaps the same old people and the same old strategies are the problem. Guess we'll just have to find out, because doing the same thing is the literal definition of insanity.

The Establishment is scared. Last I checked, that was the sign of doing something right, not wrong. They've begun to believe in the myth of their own divinity, but power is where people believe it is. It's about damn time they remember that they had it all along.

Probably would have been wiser to let people know they were only teasing about all the projects we were supposed to believe in; we made the mistake of actually believing in them, and now the Establishment will be replaced for failing to deliver for 50+ years. What was that saying from Young Guns? Something about a whirlwind?

((*It should be noted, for both the easily offended and those who don't read my lingo style well, that my YG reference is to the LINE ONLY and in absolutely no way, subliminal or otherwise, is it to be construed as supporting or making a call to violence.))
