The truth is not found at either extreme.

No, not every politician who ever accepted a donation is bought and paid for. Hillary has been expressing this opinion by claiming that everyone from Pres. Obama to Paul Wellstone must have been bought and paid for because they had accepted donations from financial industries.

Yes, money does influence politicians. Hillary has also been expressing the opinion that money does not influence policy. If that were true, then why is she in favor of reforming campaign financing? It would seem that you could just let the money flow freely if it is not influencing anyone.

The truth lies in between. Not every politician who has ever accepted a donation is bought and paid for but money does influence politicians.

Any other position is dishonest.

On a continuum between truth and lies, all points in between are lies, varying only by degree.

In fact, truth lies at one end of this continuum, there's nothing on the other side.

Truth is the extreme end point.

The Republicans have played their part moving on from consrvative but practical politicians to an atmosphere where Ted Cruz and Donald Trump make sense.
