The Clintons were at or near the pinnacle of political power from 1992 until 2009.

When Hillary Clinton describes her husband's administration, she says "we". So, let's think of her as co-President during that time. She then went on to serve two terms in the Senate. She's the self-proclaimed "progressive who gets things done".

16 years holding the reins of power. How much better did she make black lives during that time? What bills did she introduce or co-sponsor during her time as the "progressive who gets things done" that made black lives better?

lowest black poverty, most black millionaires, most black owned business, highest black graduation rate, highest percentage and number of blacks with advanced degrees. All happened in the period you deride.

The period also saw record rates of black incarceration.

Sad how that works out.

who were locked up or who still couldn't get a job after release because they had a felony record. And much of that increased incarceration rate was caused by the war on drugs (which increased incarceration for all races and made the US #1 in terms of imprisoning huge swaths of our population) and by the unjust racial disparities in arrests, indictments, convictions, and incarceration (as well as *length* of incarceration) for drug offenses, including for personal use, not selling.

This us all detailed by Michelle Alexander (The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness) in her article in The Nation:

http://www.thenation.com/article/hillary-clinton-does-not-deserve-black-peoples-votes/

From the crime bill to welfare reform, policies Bill Clinton enacted—and Hillary Clinton supported—decimated black America.

The true measure of success or failure in a free society. Is not how things are going at the top, bUT how things are going at the bottom.

HRC was SoS and Bill Clinton was given a very key assignment and convention specs in 2012. Even now, other than Obama himself, who would you label a power in the Democratic party?
