Related: About this forumHow the Bernie Sanders Approach Ruined Burlington College
Here is a little about Burlington College:Jane Sanders husband, presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, has offered a higher-education plan that would make tuition at public colleges free. But it would do little to prod colleges, public or private, to keep costs down or ensure that a college degree is worthwhile for graduates.
Story Continued Below
Jane Sanders, who led Burlington College from 2004 to 2011, spent millions on a new campus 33 acres along the bank of Lake Champlain to attract more students and donations from alumni. It didnt work: The college failed to recruit enough students or donations to repay its debts and even came close to losing its accreditation.
Since many of Bernie's supporters use Bill against Hill, I'll use Jane against Bernie. "Free stuff" like Jane did at Burlington and Bernie wants to do for America doesn't work.

(114,904 posts)Jane Sanders didn't put it in a precarious position. It had been in one since its inception. Did she succeed with what the author called her "well intentioned" plan? No, but that doesn't make it nefarious.
Let's talk about Bull Clinton, influence peddler. Frank Guistra, ring a bell?

(12,754 posts)Camp Clinton is panicking -- and panicking badly.
Unfortunately, if Hillary gets in (which I doubt) these tactics are going to hurt her badly.
Hillary may get the nomination, but if so, she would be so covered with her own mud that she would be at a distinct disadvantage in the GE. Hillary's slimy tactics (like this one) could cost the Dems the White House and Congress for eight years, as well as the chance to name 4 or 5 justices.
Come on, Hillary, clean it up. Call off the pitbulls. Stop the bullshit.
