Vice president for Sanders

After some thought, research and reinforced by some of his recent interviews (interview with Rachel tonight was excellent) I would happily endorse Ben Jealous as a candidate for vice-president of the United States for a president Bernie Sanders.

He really was wonderful, and I know I should suggest a POC, but I keep leaning to Robert Reich. valerief Feb 2016 #5

Had never had a chance to hear the man prior. It was awesome.

I hope and expect Bernie will choose a person of color or a woman. Or both.

Ben would be my first. Nina Turner is a worthy candidate as well and from a key state in the GE.

As potential Dem leaders, both he and Sherrod's then-boss Tom Vilsack are off my list.

But he is an intelligent, unflinching and articulate advocate for Sanders. No one, not even Bernie, can have a career without mistakes. My research and his interviews show him out to be an educated, experienced and well-spoken man with great potential.

Jealous (and Vilsack) didn't do the equivalent of dropping a pass or missing a field goal. They did the equivalent of intercepting the ball, running 99 yards, and scoring a touchdown...for the other team.

I hope, if it actually comes to that type of choice, Ben could address your concerns.
There is always Ms.Turner as well. I also admit there may be others that just are not on my radar.

I think it makes it to economics heavy. Sec of Labor even if he wants back into politics.

Ben Jealous being a black man was not my major driver in my picking him. I looked at the surrogates Sanders has chosen and Ben stood out as the best choice to me.
