Politically Hillary POC "Firewall" Meme is going to back fire

This is purely political analysis. Clinton has been pushing the agenda that she will be inevitable because of black voters in the south. Don't worry about Iowa/NH, we will win in the South and knock off Bernie. This was basically her response to Bernie's rising numbers, and was her method of keeping the donor class/media calm . Any wedge she could create between POC/Bernie was added bonus (basically throwing out the question what is in Bernie past/position that doesn't appeal to POC?).

Now that Bernie won huge NH/basically tied in Iowa, the spotlight is basically is on POC. The question that is now raised and being played all over is will Black voters act as Hillary's firewall? Even if POC support Hillary in huge numbers now, I don't think people like their vote being taken for granted. Because of this spotlight, many voters who probably would have voted for Hillary without really a 2nd thought will rethink and look at Bernie's unknown record/positions. By raising the stakes, she has given Bernie a chance to make his case.

Naturally the best way to do was to keep quiet and not throwing out the gauntlet that she will crush Sanders with black voters. Get the institution support behind you, and fight for every vote.

It doesn't seem like the best way to describe voters. And it's kind of reflective of a bunker mentality.

'Not Your Firewall': Minority Voters Refuse To Be Token in Clinton Strategy Map
Pointing to Clinton's historic support for policies that expanded mass incarceration, author Michelle Alexander writes, "there is such a thing as a lesser evil, and Hillary is not it."

People aren't paying attention to what it's really doing. It's like she is saying well maybe we all have an equal vote. But, some count more than others. Or maybe she is saying well some people owe me their vote, but I have to earn those other votes. So, you all sit there and wait while I go court those who don't have to vote for me. Either way it's a cynical way to divide people when we should be looking at how to unite people.
