NH primary: Why Hillary won it in 2008 but lost in 2016

1) She easily carried NH 08 because of her name recognition plus many were not very familiar with Obama.
2) The ugly negative campaigning of 08 did not begin until well after she won New Hampshire.

Fast forward to 2016: NH voters remember the race-baiting campaign nastiness of 2008. But in case they forgot Hillary reminded them of it by resurrecting the same negative style of campaigning in 2016 (minus the race-baiting part since her opponent is white this time, but still nasty and mean-spirited nonetheless). Notice she kick-started the negative attacks much sooner than before.

RESULT? New Hampshire voters were not impressed and she lost by a yuuuge landslide this time.

People are suffering from Clinton fatigue (and Bush fatigue on the other side).

Yes, Clinton/Bush fatigue, i.e. Plz. don't drag us backwards to some reiteration of those years. nt 99th_Monkey Feb 2016 #1
