BROOKLYN -- Hours after Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders won the Democratic New Hampshire primary over Hillary Clinton, he spoke with CBS News about the next steps in his campaign.
The race now moves on to states where it may be harder for Sanders to connect to voters, like South Carolina. In this preview clip, he speaks with Scott Pelley about the challenges that he may face moving forward.

SCOTT PELLEY: You look like you were having fun at your victory party.
BERNIE SANDERS: I was!
PELLEY: Might be your last one. It only gets harder from here.
SANDERS: No, I don't think it's going to be our last one. But we had fun last night and we look forward to having more fun in the future.
PELLEY: But New Hampshire, largely white, a more liberal population that the states you're headed to next. South Carolina, Nevada, you're going to be facing African American voters, Latino voters. Do you have a chance in those places?
SANDERS: Oh, I think we have a very strong chance.

Of course she could have some Iowa-style tricks up her sleeves.
After all, we all have realized since 2000 that it is not just who votes for whom, but rather, it is who counts the votes.

(32,324 posts)night worrying about the voting machinery, once I realized that the Party Big Wigs were fine with all that.
Andy Stephenson tried to point out how gerrymandering was going nuts, how the election machinery needed to be banned, etc, and they smirked right at his face. And he died before the gerrymandering issue really took off.
I still am troubled by so much of what passes for our "free elections" but since there doesn't seem to be a way to change it, I am not devoting 24/7 to the matter any more.

(22,271 posts)but I can tell you the numbers are turning in Bernie's favor in Nevada AND South Carolina. It's still going to be an uphill battle, make no mistake, but Clinton's firewall may not be all that firewally when the time comes to actually vote. Nevada more than S.C.

And the media mouth piece sits there and tells Bernie it only gets harder? If I was Bernie I'd have smacked him, hard.
