Related: About this forumClinton has a major honesty problem
More than one in three (34 percent) of all New Hampshire Democratic primary voters said that honesty was the most important trait in their decision on which candidate to support. Of that bloc, Sanders won 92 percent of their votes as compared to just 6 percent for Clinton.
Clinton's standard response on questions about her honesty ... is that it has zero to do with her and how she has acted in and out of office ...
... the idea that Clinton herself bears no responsibility for the fact that a majority of all Americans repeatedly tell pollsters that words like "honest" and "trustworthy" don't apply to her is nonsensical.

(643 posts)Honesty is a huge issue.
Beyond that, her record on issues simply don't stack up well vs Sanders either. For example, she and her supporters seem to think that foreign relations is a strong point for her. Iraq is no small thing. And it's not one issue. From that costly, deadly war that she voted for came the instability that Sanders warned about and she lacked the foresight to see. Now she wants a no-fly zone in Syria. And when Russian jets go past it? Then what? Not really sounding like a strong-suit to me. These are specific issues that the Clinton supporters have to deal with, not empty rhetoric.

(8,964 posts)The right wing propaganda machine has been trumpeting this meme for decades, along with concocted scandals, figuring it just might stick with repetition. Honesty is the least of Hillary's problems right about now. Consistency is another matter.
