Updated Comparison of 2008 to 2016 NH Democratic Primary Results

2016 Sanders: 150,403 (97.7% of precincts reporting)
2008 Clinton: 112,404
2008 Obama: 104,815
2016 Clinton: 94,777 (97.7% of precincts reporting)
2008 Edwards: 48,699

Sanders got almost as many votes as Obama and Edwards combined got in 2008. And Clinton lost almost 20,000 votes from her 2008 totals.

I see 245K D votes in 2016 vs. 266K D votes in 2008. That decrease is scary. LonePirate Feb 2016 #3

Clinton was in a 3-way race in 2008. In a 2-way race in 2016 she should have increased her votes (similar turnout both years). Yet she got 20K fewer. That's devaststating for Camp Weathervane. Former voters are leaving her.

In 2004, the Dems were coming off of 8 years of Bush, Obama had just come off a surprise Iowa victory, and the Republican field was not nearly as interesting to independents.
