To Bernie: You are missing an excellent campaign issue.

Bernie supports Social Security credits for men and women who leave the work force to care for family members.

This is a GREAT issue to campaign on.

It is an EQUAL PAY issue.

It's a feminist issue.

It's a men's issue.

It validates the very real work of caregiving as WORK.

Too many older women are currently living in poverty because they left the work force to care for children, or grandchildren, or elders.

Too many stay at home dads will suffer diminished Social Security because they earned no credits for their WORK.

It is time to recognize this labor, with Social Security work credits.

and it resonated with me due to my life circumstances. If Bernie has the same position - crediting family caregiving for social security - then I am satisfied.
