If Pres. Obama HAD mentioned the 47% comment...

few people would have noticed. But he didn't, and JUST LOOK at all the attention Romney's comment has received by bloggers, pundits, etc. The same is true for a series of comments that Obama did NOT make. It makes for a much better talking point when others bring it up.

And Romney dug a deep hole with his lies and his embarrassing attempt to dominate, even over the moderator's attempts to enforce the rules.

opportunity to earnestly look into the camera and grandstand about how he loves everybody and Bain was great for creating jobs. The Prez didn't give him the opportunity to do that. As a resut, the Prez can continue to hit him on those topics without #Mittnochio having a counter that was seen by 50 million Americans. It was smart of the president to avoid those topics.

that could have disarmed the entire issue. Think Reagan's "I will not make age an issue; I won't use my opponent's youth and inexperience for political purposes" line that neutered the age issue after his bad performance in the first debate in 1984. You KNOW he was prepared for it. Obama deprived him of that opportunity.
