Nevada: One quote that sums up the battle for Latinos

"In the caucus in Nevada, it will come down to organization and momentum," de Jesus said. "Bernie has momentum and Hillary has a long relationship with the Latino community, and we'll see who has the better ground game."
-------
Quote from Federico de Jesus, a Democratic strategist.

Time for the campaigns to go pound some pavement.

Bernie voted against immigration reform. Hillary has been fighting for the Latino community her whole adult life, going back to to when she was registering poor Latinos to vote in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas in 1972.

Which was sanders' main objection. They exploit immigrants and depress wages. I'm for bringing people out of the shadows, making it easier for those that are here to stay, including amnesty, and a path to citizenship; but it can't be used by the chamber of commerce types to depress wages in the name of reform.

I saw the video of him explaining his vote at the time. He complained about immigrants taking American jobs-- claiming they even take "lifeguard jobs."

Ground game advantage in terms of organization has to be with him - he's done it before against Obama.

Momentum & enthusiasm are with Bernie

Organization and time are with Hillary

Time in that if Bernie had the time he had for IA and NH, I think he'd clobber her but he's only got 10 days.

That's the trick for these March states - not a lot of time to get the word out - hopefully, they've got good social networking or something happening that reaches these minorities

That bodes much better for moderate conservatives who hate the Republican status quo and also hate Trump to swing to Bernie.
