(51,564 posts)Bernie voted against immigration reform. Hillary has been fighting for the Latino community her whole adult life, going back to to when she was registering poor Latinos to vote in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas in 1972.

(11,101 posts)Which was sanders' main objection. They exploit immigrants and depress wages. I'm for bringing people out of the shadows, making it easier for those that are here to stay, including amnesty, and a path to citizenship; but it can't be used by the chamber of commerce types to depress wages in the name of reform.

(51,564 posts)I saw the video of him explaining his vote at the time. He complained about immigrants taking American jobs-- claiming they even take "lifeguard jobs."

Momentum & enthusiasm are with Bernie
Organization and time are with Hillary
Time in that if Bernie had the time he had for IA and NH, I think he'd clobber her but he's only got 10 days.
That's the trick for these March states - not a lot of time to get the word out - hopefully, they've got good social networking or something happening that reaches these minorities
