said this before, the schedule sure works against him early in states like SC. He really needs to spend a month there. I heard he's meeting with Rev. Al next. Right now, Hillary has the advantage because she's she's well known and tangible and can talk to black mothers about common experiences: growing up poor, struggling (in Park Ridge, IL and attending Latin High School in Chicago. Latin Fucking High $chool!!!)

He doesn't seem to understand the nuances. He is good at his stump speech. Getting with a group and getting to know their needs and listen and create more policy based on that. Revise. Add. Listen. Meet. Greet. Face to face. He does not do that. We SEE him not being around us. We see who he does decide to be around. Do you see?

Who does he go to? Not us. We SEE her. Oh boy here she is all the time cannot miss her. Like a family member. She never goes away even if we get mad at her. She hashes it out for years sometimes. Puts in work. She would be a hell of a leader. Fortitude. Not self righteous either. Asks a BUNCH OF QUESTIONS. Answers a buch of questions. She WILL GET TO KNOW YOU! Even if it takes all night.

He does not have that. We feel something missing. She is always dying to know more more more. Curious woman. If she has issues with black voters she will ask us what she did and discuss it with US. Not with some big old crowd way way far away where folks like us do not live.

Watching him has taken me fromhating her to feeling COMFORTED by the idea of her. Like, At least we still have Hillary, she KNOWS us. Likes us. Tell us we are important and to help her understand what we need her to do.

He already knows everything.

I just have to listen and trust what others who live in a different context/life experience have to say. JRLeft's thread, which you participated in, was good as well. Some people will resist and resist and just see from their point of view and that often is a hard thing to break. like trying to explain white privilege to people who take it personal and just don't want to hear it.

The post I initially commented on this thread was well written and quite clear.

...needs to be considered in the larger context of the campaign. He's working from 0. In terms of both name recognition and the polls. Early on, the bigger the crowds the better because you get your name and message out there in a big way. He was down 40-50% in Iowa not long ago and ended up with a tie. Door-to-door face-to-face wasn't going to overcome those odds fast enough to matter there.

It's going to continue to be difficult in the upcoming states as well. Considering what the early polling shows. From reading your posts, and a few others, am I wrong to conclude that it's not WHAT he's saying but HOW he's saying it?

And he doesn't realize that we do not 'come to him'. We dont need his vote. We are not noved by his message because we had to fight just to own ourselves so folks can say say say all day what they gon do.

Lets see the paperwork and see if we think the plan has a chance of coming to fruition and how does he help us get up to where you are when we have institutional racism.

Just saying we must end it is just saying we must end it. Blah blah blah banks, oligarchy, 1 percent, millionaires billionaires, blah blah blah. End racism. Blah blah blah, corporate crooks, the establishment, billionaire donors, business exces, wall street, blah blah blah , sandra bland, banks, banks, predatory lenders, oligarchy oligarchy oligarchy. That is how it sounds to me.

That is not about US.

Angela Bassett is doing the College talk thing today. She has people all over the South that got dispatched a while back. The engine started as the votes in NH were being cast. No time to waste! Hairdressers and Barbershops will be receiving visits. Well known blacks, artists, educators, popular folks, just hanging out. I wish I was there.

It'll be close, but she won't prevail.

South Carolina, same results.

ST states, same results, only noticeable difference that her margin of loss grows with each loss.

Same crew Obama had and then some. Lots of latino activists and surrogates meeting and greeting for her. Sanders has a smaller operation and relies on his message 'drawing' voters. Bad strategy.
