This is why I say there is no center, but instead a linear graduation that goes from democracy and ends with tyranny. You can't beat it, but you can embrace it and be a part of it. Otherwise, you end up away from democracy, and somewhere moving towards that tyranny end. Americans can still smell bullshit.

It feels good to have gotten this far, to have proven that Bernie -- and we -- can actually do it. So maybe it's okay to relax for a day, but we have a long way to go -- and the opposition is wealthy, powerful, unprincipled and desperate. We'll have to double down again, doing whatever we can to help him. And just keep pushing and pushing until we get there.

and the Clintons remind me of band that had its heyday twenty years ago but won't stop trying to recapture the magic long after their fans have moved on. They've had their day, in other words. I'm not sure why they keep acting as if the Dem party still belongs to them.
