2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHillary just said Citizen's United was an attack on HER.
No one is more committed to campaign finance reform than her. She's going to fight to rein in Wall Street!
Disgusting.

"In January 2008, appellant Citizens United, a nonprofit corporation, released a documentary (hereinafter Hillary) critical of thenSenator Hillary Clinton, a candidate for her partys Presidential nomination. Anticipating that it would make Hillary available on cable television through video-on-demand within 30 days of primary elections, Citizens United produced television ads to run on broadcast and cable television. Concerned about possible civil and criminal penalties for violating §441b, it sought declaratory and injunctive relief, arguing that (1) §441b is unconstitutional as applied to Hillary; and (2) BCRAs disclaimer, disclosure, and reporting requirements, BCRA §§201 and 311, were unconstitutional as applied to Hillary and the ads. The District Court denied Citizens United a preliminary injunction and granted appellee Federal Election Commission (FEC) summary judgment. Held: 1. Because the question whether §441b applies to Hillary cannot be resolved on other, narrower grounds without chilling political speech, this Court must consider the continuing effect of the speech suppression upheld in Austin. Pp. 520."

(4,960 posts)She is a smart and savvy woman.
Is this desperation that hurls her to say such ridiculous things?
Is it just she is so 1990s and the time has passed her by?
I just don't get what is happening with her. But then in 2008 it was the same thing.

(14,255 posts)That's how much, it seems to me, that she is hated by the GOP.
And that's why I believe Bernie has a better chance of getting some of his platform accomplished in Congress; i feel the only things that Hillary could get done are things that the GOP and the DINOs want.
