After later watching the videos I realized how incredible they were jumping all over the stage while making that music.

Nothing is better than that. Is it?

from start to finish. The whole set up, the boom box on the empty stage, the gradual introduction of the performers, David Byrne's big suit, the entire progression -- it is performance art.

The Last Waltz is a concert film, a very good one with a top director, but a concert film.

Thank you for this thread, Warren. Wonderful day it was in Bernie land. Hope he's sleeping well and soundly tonight. Hope he can feel the love from all of us.
