Last post before I go to bed- did Romney do anything to help with his battleground state issue?

Ohio, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Iowa?

Think of the voters he will have to flip or persuade - their issues....

My answer is...NOPE.

It's an Electoral College election. He may have made the red states redder....but the blue states no less blue.

1. He's going to kill Big Bird and

force seniors to take Medicare vouchers which will eventually bankrupt most of them. Nope, Romney may see an initial bump, which Nate Silver predicted before the debate, but the emperor has no clothes.

2. By the time the fact checkers get finished and the talking heads get a chance to review the debate--

Mitt is not going to look so great. Tonight on MSNBC, they went ballistic and ripped Obama apart. They wanted him to come to this debate with a knife in each pocket and a 6 shooter strapped to his side. They hoped that he would eviscerate Mitt right there on live TV. No doubt about it. They wanted blood and lots of it. They didn't get it. I have to admit that is kinda what I wanted too.

But Mitt acted like an ass, lied every other breath, was rude to Obama and to Leherer, talked over Obama. He acted phony and his make up was bad.

When all these people calm down and the fact checkers get through doing their work, Mitt is going to look like the ass that he is. Tonight Mitt turned on things he has said for months, made up new things on the spot and lied repeatedly about Obama and his policies.

So tomorrow when the news commnentators are back in their minds and not bug eyed with rage at the President, let's hope that cooler heads prevail and they come back to planet earth.

Just remember: Most people have already made up their minds about who they support and if the polls are to be believed, it ain't Romney. Some states have already started voting, too.

Let's not declare calamity until it's clear that has happened.

Romney probably was proud of himself tonight. It fits right in with his nasty personality. But in the long run he didn't do himself any favors and if anything.....probably bought himself a whole new set of problems.
