Should Obama's debate team take some pointers from Ted Kennedy? Let's remember that Ted Kennedy DEFEATED Romney. He knew how to debate Mitt.

Although I suspect they have all those past debates. It didn't seem like Obama was well prepared. That's part of the difficulty of being an incumbent. Romney holed up for days at a time preparing for the debate. Obama didn't really get a chance. I think that changes going forward and he'll be well prepared for the next two. He's got a good campaign, we have to trust in them. But I was really disappointed and demoralized at the performance today. He let 150 million+ people down tonight.

(5,008 posts)Would probably be so disappointed in this 2012 version of Obama. I wonder if Obama even watched that debate.

(4,551 posts)That's what you should always do with an opponent.
Learn what techniques they use and what their strengths are.
Learn from others who have debated them.
I'm going to be disappointed if Obama's team hasn't even studied the Ted Kennedy debates with Romney.
If anyone on DU knows someone on the Obama team, please pass this suggestion along.
