He is horrible on reproductive rights, but he is generally perceived as more moderate and sensible, and he's from Ohio. He could be a threat. Especially if he draws Rubio as his running mate to get some Latino votes (which the GOP needs in order to have a shot at the electoral college).

Closing an 80% polling gap is quite substantial, some would even say newsworthy...
