Oklahoma voters continue to favor Donald Trump among Republican presidential candidates, and Hillary Clinton is the pick over Bernie Sanders among Democrats and independents in a SoonerPoll.com released Tuesday.
Trump was at 30 percent, compared to 25 percent for Ted Cruz and 21 percent for Marco Rubio, who was up from single digits late last year.
Clinton was the choice of 41.5 percent of Democrats and independents who said they intend to vote in the Democratic primary. Bernie Sanders was at 28 percent, and another 28 percent was undecided.
Oklahoma's presidential primary is March 1.

(12,778 posts)I have yet to have anyone tell me that they are voting for Bernie Sanders. On the other hand, the Clinton name still carries some weight here among Democrats.
Among Republicans that I know, Rubio is the name I hear most often.

(4,522 posts)Those who live in rural OK and have friends 40 and up, I can see them staying with Clinton. We live in downtown Tulsa and due to our jobs, we tend to know a lot of people much younger than us. Of course, this is Triple RED fly over country. The majority of Okies vote a straight R ticket.
