Just a FYI---take it or leave it but a heads up.

The FBI formally confirmed that its investigation connected to Hillary Clintons private email server remains ongoing in a letter released on Monday.
The letter from FBI general counsel James Baker comes one day before the New Hampshire primary.
The message does not offer new details about the probe, which the bureau has been reluctant to discuss. However, it represents the FBIs formal notification to the State Department that it is investigating the issue.
Since last September, in public statements and testimony, the Bureau has acknowledged generally that it is working on matters related to former Secretary Clintons use of a private e-mail server, Baker wrote to the State Department.
The FBI has not, however, publicly acknowledged the specific focus, scope, or potential targets of any such proceedings.
Thus we remain unable [to] provide [details about the case] without adversely affecting on-going law enforcement efforts, he concluded.
The letter was sent on Feb. 2 but released on Monday as part of an ongoing lawsuit related to the disclosure of Clintons emails from conservative watchdog Judicial Watch.
FBI Director James Comey has previously referenced the FBI probe, which the bureau had previously declined to confirm or deny in court filings last year.
Key details about the probe remain unclear, such as whether it is tied to a possible criminal case or whether it has expanded beyond an initial security review.
Comey has previously said that bureau investigators dont give a rip about politics, and would not be put off by the looming presidential campaign.
Clinton, for her part, has downplayed the server issue.
I am 100 percent confident [that the probe will not become criminal], the former secretary of State said in a Democratic presidential debate last week. This is a security review requested and carried out that will be resolved.

(39,343 posts)"But she won't be under indictment." you say.
Can you guarantee this?
Is Bernie being investigated and at risk of possibly being under indictment?
You want to talk about Electability, lets talk about a General Election while one candidate is under investigation.

Consider her vetted. We've done our due diligence and rejected the candidate.
Nothing personal, Hil. Just bidness.

(5,761 posts)Maybe you should see with your eyes wide open what Hillary is honestly facing and put down your rose colored glasses. This is a huge issue. I'd be saying the same thing if it was Bernie. Period.
An FBI investigation is bullshit? Really?
No it's gigantic!
So far we have these listed as supposed RW sites from Hillary supporters;
The Hill
Daily Kos
Huffington Post
The Daily Beast
Bipartisan Report
All of which are well leaning liberal sites in reality.

(1,061 posts)was incredibly stupid. There are no two ways about it. I haven't heard a credible reason why, either. If it was because a personal server might not be subject to FOIA requests, then it is even worse.
We simply cannot afford to lose the Presidency to these Republicans. This unforced error could truly blow up at the absolute wrong time. It will be harped on endlessly in the GE regardless. Her poor handling of it only needs to sway just a tiny percentage of the 50% of Americans who don't usually vote, or the vast number of undecideds who do vote but aren't registered with a party.
What on earth was she thinking? Anybody?

(9,704 posts)The one from Syriana? The one with the address at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave during the Bush II years? The one who helped steal the election from Al Gore? That James Baker?
Damn. I'm not voting for Hillary, but I don't like this. Not one bit.

(12,754 posts)Different James Baker. This guy joined Justice during the Clinton administration is a standup guy who went after the NSA and Alberto Gonzales's lies.
