The second some were given the chance they called Marissa J a racist over and over again.

I think it's nice to know peoples true feelings.

This isn't the 1960's. We don't have to burn our bras to get attention. Women have made enormous progress in all ways. Younger women don't understand the memes from the past because they already know they can do anything. Clinton, Steinem and Albright should be commended for their contribution to that fact, but they are relegating young women to victimhood by telling them how they should act and feel.

I've been ground breaking in my own way and I wouldn't think of bashing young woman over the head telling them what they should think. I'm not going to argue with you about this. Smear me all you want. Last night, after watching Rachel Maddow's interview with Hillary, I had a moment of second guessing about my vote today. Then I remembered "artful smear" and the nagging of Bill Clinton. My old vote is still going to Bernie.

I do happen to think that understanding history is the best way to move forward. Seems some don't agree with that, fine.

But Gloria, Madeleine and Hillary are not misogynists, and that is what this post is about.

The three respected women were unusual in their youth in that they were interested in politics for themselves and not because they were following boys around hoping to get married; fifty years later, this is the new normal and young women of today are expected to make their own political decisions instead of just voting like their husbands tell them to - but our respected elders scolded them as if they were still behaving like their 1950/1960 college peers.

The torch is being passed. It can still be extinguished without vigilance, but the "normal" roles of men and women have changed substantially in the last five decades. They will change more in the future. The only constant is change.

And many people (myself included) believe Bernie Sanders, an old white Jewish man, will be a better president than Hillary Clinton, an old white Protestant woman. Both will have a tough act to follow, because the presidency of the current middle aged black man has been spectacular - not perfect, but still Great. I have also really enjoyed the fact it has been relatively scandal free, apart from a few "those Secret Service chaps like to party!" incidents. The whole "Bengazi!" is election politics and will be ignored by the history books.

Hey, does anyone know if those suicidal morons in Oregon are still at the bird sanctuary or have they run out of pot yet?

It's weirdly ironic that they don't think women can make the right choices on their own. I guess they don't believe voting is a personal decision.

I don't have as much of a problem with what Albright said, but then I don't have much use for her either.

Her comment about 500,000 Iraqi children dying shocked and disgusted me.

Some people get passes for saying unfortunate things and some other people don't get passes

I mean "bring them to heel"? Really? That's a phrase from dog training.

Interesting enough, the Trumps taught their children well in their art of misogyny. From Grandfather Frederick Trump who started the family fortune in whorehouses during the Klondike Gold Rush to Donald not dropping the ball and continuing family traditions with the Miss Universe Pageant.
