Related: About this forumConservative Tim Carney on the Sanders Campaign (you may like this)
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/the-candidate-of-occupy-wall-street-storms-new-hampshire/article/2582766Tim's a conservative goon but he's been a friend of mine for years so I tend to read his pieces at the Examiner. This one might make some Sanders supporters smile:
Bernie Sanders is running a campaign about campaigns.
"If this campaign is about anything," Sanders said at a rally in Nashua, N.H., this morning, "it is about revitalizing American democracymaking sure that every American knows how powerful he or she is to determine the future of this great country."
Sanders' main theme in his stump speechand an animating issue for his supportersis not any particular policy, but the process by which policy is made and politics are done. It's kind of a meta-campaign.
It may seem wonky, and inside baseball, to focus so much on how politics is done, but it animates a decent part of the liberal base, and thus the Democratic primary electorate.

Read on for a pretty kind conservative take on Sanders's campaign. Tim's following the primary circus around the country right now, and for that matter is generally a good go-to for thoughtful conservative pieces. (He had a good recent one where an irate Iowan asked him what he "really wants to do with his life", and he said "this" -- he actually is a really good political reporter.)
