Sec Clinton Solves Flint Water Crisis

That's why she went, right? To help the kids. Well, let's here about the clean water, new pipes and people made whole as a result of Sec Clinton's not-a-campaign-event-or-photo-op. After all, she's a progressive who gets things done and I assume that's stuff other than regime change even if Michigan could use some regime change.

""For nearly two years you were told, Flint was told, the water was safe," Clinton told the packed church." And where was your concern for Flint then? Or the years previous? Even while giving her credit for going, Michael Moore acknowledges it was to get out the AA vote in SC or a campaign event/photo op.

The comments from locals range from support for Sec Clinton to obvious RW bigots but interesting none the less.

The other candidate has respect for the fact that real people are suffering and realizes that such behavior on the part of a self interested pol would only add to their woes.

The other candidate understands that introducing more partisanship into the already conflicted power structure surrounding this event is only going to harden Rs against giving the Ds a 'victory' by addressing the problem.

HRC's internal polls are seeing tightening in the SC as AA voters are starting to switch to Sanders.

She left Bill in NH to smear Sanders and his supporters in order to drive up his negatives and shrink the gap to below.10% so they can claim victory in their defeat tomorrow.

Same old shit...

Snip: The former Secretary of State said Flint's problems should become a national priority and what happened to the city was "immoral."

Is anyone going to be held accountable or are we just going to look the other way?

She has a multi-million dollar charity.

She has personal wealth in the millions.

Why didn't she address the situation before she started campaigning ???

...they obviously wanted her there, because they came specifically to see her.

So, what's really the problem here? Aren't those folks who gathered to hear her speak out entitled to her presence, or are we internet twiddlers supposed to be in charge of that?

The pastor wept after her speech. A very emotional time for all of them. Much applause and vocal support for her within the congregation. Others not so appreciative as they've been experiencing hardships for several years and not a peep out of her before this. Just as on DU, in Flint it's a mixed bag.

It'll be interesting to see if the residents can leverage her appearance into actual solutions and action. Maybe The Clinton Foundation can start the ball rolling by paying for new pipes now? lol! I doubt it.

I don't people would complain about a Clinton walking tour of an economically depressed area.

He hasn't tried to brand a specific crisis that just hit the news, in an effort to trademark it. It's different than claiming credit for bringing (already existing) attention to a crisis in the news and holding a political rally in an effort to capitalize on it.

A subtle, but important difference.
