Contracts: Clinton Owns Transcripts And Rights To Paid Speeches

She touted efforts to be “as transparent as possible” in publishing her emails. But Hillary Clinton has resisted calls to release transcripts of her private paid speeches.

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Last spring, when she first faced questions about the personal email account she used as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton called for transparency. (“I want the public to see my email. I asked State to release them.”)
Last fall, when she drew headlines about the scandal’s effect on her “trustworthiness,” Clinton touted her efforts to be transparent. (“I’ve gone longer and farther to be as transparent as possible. Nobody else has done that.”)
And last month, when the intelligence community prevented the release of more than 20 emails, Clinton and her aides, again, demanded transparency. (“We firmly oppose the complete blocking of the release of these emails.”)
But just days before the New Hampshire primary, amid calls to release transcripts from her closed-door paid speeches, Clinton hasn’t been quite as forthcoming.

is that they are damaging to her. That is the only reason that makes sense. If they helped her, they would have been leaked ages ago.

The alleged account of an attendee who said she told the banksters "we all caused the problem" are probably true.

or maybe she's waiting for a better moment to spring an ambush on overzealous opponents. Few really know what her 'speeches' contained.

She's embarrassed people before by baiting them into more and more dramatic claims about Benghazi, etc, then popping their bubbles with revelations that show nothing.

Another question is does she need to embarrass Chuck Todd and other media voices or does she need his conservative voice slicing her opponent?

Maybe they don't reveal anything.

In which case, the question will be asked, "Why in the hell did GS pay so much for that?"

Maybe the revealing stuff is in the closed door meetings after the speeches.

$153 million, CNN concludes, is the amount the power couple raked in between February 2001 and the launch of Hillary Clinton's presidential bid in May 2015. What's more, the Clintons received an average pay of $210,795 for each of the 729 addresses given during that time period.

“The system is rigged against you by the big banks, and both parties are in the thrall of the big banks. Anybody who takes money from Goldman Sachs couldn’t possibly be president.”

The demand that the SD put them all online came AFTER the SD fought to get her to give them back - which she did printed on paper, while her lawyer got them on a thumb drive. The "make them public" was designed as an escape from the very negative story.

However, as soon as they were known, there were FOIA reuests demanding them by the media that actually led to a judge ordering the SD to do this by a deadline.

That anyone credits her for transparency on this is mind boggling as it occurred only as she surrendered the email to the SD.

There is absolutely NO doubt in my mind what she says at one of those private fundraisers. The only way she can ever hope of proving I'm wrong is to release transcripts of EVERY single private fundraiser speech she ever made over the past......say..........15 years or so.

Otherwise, I expect the MoveOn example is just a tiny tip of the iceberg.

Generally the person starts out by thanking the company for inviting him and then detailing some relationship the person has with the company or its leaders. Then there are a whole list of compliments saying how important the company is and how much good it does and how proud he is to be associated with it.

That's just normal corporate speechifying. No one pays $ 200,000 to get insulted. They pay that so their workers will feel better about working for the company.

This is not about Hillary, it's just the way these speeches go.

So, I imagine if she released them, there would be cup fulls of compliments about what a great company Goldman Sachs is and what a storied history it has had and how she's proud of being invited to work with this fine company.,

It's just standard stuff, but it will look awful if it becomes public.
