I've been called in as a substitute study-mate for my daughter's first college chemistry exam. She's all nervous because last semester the highest grade on the first test was a 39%. She asked me to help her with her vocab and periodic table review. She declined going to a campus watch party tonight because of the test, so if we finish early enough, we're going to hunker down in the living room and watch.

in fact, my condition is called ICU Psychosis. Here's how it was explained to me: they keep a bright light on you in the ICU and that interferes with your ability to sleep. I had 3 distinctly separate hallucinations, one of which was that I thought I was on a train coming back from Boston. I asked the nurse if this was the train to New Haven and she said "You are in Yale-New Haven Hospital..."

But what I concluded was that using sleep deprivation as a form of torture is counter productive. When I was hallucinating I couldn't possibly tell anything real...

to watch it anyway. And if I were home, I could only watch it if MSNBC or someone is doing live streaming.

The problem with the "debates" is that the format is totally stupid, doesn't allow for actual follow-up, doesn't allow for real interaction between the two candidates, and many of the questions are pointless.

Several election cycles ago I went to the debate between two candidates for my Congressional district. One of the two had apparently done debate in high school and college, and had perfected being able to speak about twelve thousand words per minute. He spoke so rapidly that even with clear enunciation which he had, it was almost impossible to make sense of what he was saying. We're not used to listening that fast.
