Female Senators Privately Urging Senator Warren To Formally Endorse H Clinton For President

Female Democratic senators are privately urging Sen. Elizabeth Warren to formally endorse Hillary Clinton for president.
http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/268161-female-senators-urge-warren-back-hillary

The lobbying campaign comes as the Democratic race between Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is heating up going into the New Hampshire primary next week.

A group of Democratic senators is taking a bus tour of New Hampshire this weekend to stump for Clinton, and they want the liberal Massachusetts powerhouse to get on board. Clinton narrowly defeated Sanders in the Iowa caucuses earlier this week, but the Vermont senator is a heavy favorite to win New Hampshire.

H.R. Minority Leader D-Nancy Pelosi has not endorsed Hillary Clinton. California Primary will be the last one before the General Election.

These lawmakers may be burning the VP bridge.

does appear to be in a tight spot; she signed the letter urging Hillary to run and now won't endorse her? I get that the two things are different, but it is sort of leaving her out to dry. The pressure Elizabeth must be feeling must be immense. They probably pressured her to sign the letter too if she is not getting with the program now.

But how does she stay on message AND endorse Hillary?

except none of the other women share her view. I just think she must be getting it from all sides, but as I said, she has her own "brand" to consider and if that brand is closer to Bernie's, then she should know what to do.

a signature of intent to support one Democrat over another. At the time Warren signed the letter, Warren and Clinton were both still considering the same thing; a possible run for President of the United States.

I think everyone knows it. IMHO, there are 3 possibilities

1- She has endorsed Sanders and they are just waiting for the right time to go public.

2- She has not endorsed Sanders and is still waiting to see if Sanders is viable.

3- She wants to endorse Sanders but believes it would be a waste of political ammo, so she has elected to stay silent.

Clearly, she is not with Hillary. She won't be with Hillary until/when/if she becomes the nominee.

If HRC wins the nomination, she will support her.

I feel that she might be setting herself up as a VP pick to set the stage for a 2020 Warren Presidency.

extremely unlikely to endorse anyone with Bernie's positions. Example, Feinstein, Murray, Cantwell all voted yes on NAFTA, CAFTA and Fast Track for TPP. That group also contains Senators who were among the last Democrats to stop opposing LGBT rights, 3 of the final 10 holdouts the last Democrats to oppose equal rights for LGBT, Hagen, Heitkamp and Landreiu.

Klobuchar is for whatever seems to be popular and noncontroversial. She sponsors a lot of feel-good legislation but ducks behind the battlements when things get contentious. She goes with the flow.

Advocate passionately for things that are 100% in line with Bernie's philosophy, make comments to remind people in the current political season that those are your positions too... and then endorse someone whose walk and talk you've been tacitly criticizing.

Once you get outside of the metro-Boston area, she is having difficulites in Mass. Western MA is suffering.

Maine and Rhode Island have already fallen, once you get a few miles away from the waterfront and marinas.

Connecticut seems to be holding out, especially close to NYC, but that's falling too.

The problem is, SBS needs to remain viable for those primaries.

For those who doubt, make fun of me later.

Politically Warren is much much closer to Bernie. She gave that passionate speech on the Senate floor blasting Wall Street, big money and ended it by reminding people that is an election year & to think about who they are going to vote for.

She probably wants to endorse Bernie but is savvy enough to know you do not cross the Clinton machine esp should Hillary win the Presidency.
