(22,308 posts)and Hillary (apparently) winning ruins that record.
Investigating this would be good for Hillary if she really did win. Right now, her legitimacy is in question.
If Clinton supporters believe that she really did win then they should support this.

(12,655 posts)i am certainly hoping for an outcome that shows bernie as having won, but it really could go either way.
one thing i don't think any of us want is to hit a ge with questions of tainted primary results
hey, i am in agreement with janeyvee...what a great day!!

(19,877 posts)It does seem a bit of an overreaction though considering the path to the over 2200 needed. But if it will put an end to the conspiracy bs than go for it.

(62,325 posts)are fair. So why do you think the DNC Chair in Iowa is refusing to release the raw data? What is the problem, in some states when an election is this close, there is an automatic recount?
I agree it could work out in Hillary's favor, but when the DNC says 'no' that creates an impression that they fear it will not favor Hillary.
So, I'm fine either way. But if I were advising Hillary I would advise her to join those asking for the raw data. Refusing says to people 'it will not be in her favor and they know it'.

(99,710 posts)That woman looks very comfortable and even a casual glance suggests that home is replete with bourgeoisie accoutrements. If that's how a revolutionary lives maybe I should trade my plebeian status for one.

(99,710 posts)Those who live without bourgeoisie accouterments would hardly consider their absence superficial. She seems to be living quite nicely.
It reminds me of the scene in the Godfather when the wealthy WASP goes to the Godfather, Michael Corleone, to ask for his niece's hand in marriage. He has to go to Michael because his prospective bride's father, Sonny, was killed, and Michael has become loco parentis. He is trying to conceal or downplay his wealth.
After Michael gives his blessing, he cogently says " Oh you shouldn't be ashamed of your wealth. This contempt for money is another trick of the rich to keep the poor without it."

(20,709 posts)And then people like her make arguments like that the difference between HRC and the GOP is like being run over by a bus or an airplane. But in reality, the difference for her is probably not noticeable. Doesn't seem like she'll be relying on SS, she probably had good healthcare without ACA, depending on her tax bracket, she may even end up with more money under the GOP.

The obsession with this woman's house is hilarious!!

(6,829 posts)Hillary declined to even graciously stay and thank those who helped her with that "win" (you do know that even the Des Moines Register is calling foul right?)
Really we can play tit for tat all day Miss Manners.
I'm actually bummed you've strayed from your critique on the house decor.

(99,710 posts)As to the apparent wealth of the woman in the video and the benefits that come with it this plebeian is a tad bit envious.
If I join the revolution can I trade in my 450 square foot rent controlled forty year old apartment for a two story home, replete with fine furnishings, a spiral stairway, fresh paint, and French Doors?

(99,710 posts)I am going to ask my landlord if he can install a stairway and French Doors In my 450 square foot rent controlled studio apartment. Why should some live so well while the rest of us don't?
TwilightGardener
(46,416 posts)center they're not that much. Or just install it yourself, get a single one and stain/poly it, swap out hinges, you're done. The stairway--well that's a can of worms in terms of building architecture, permits, etc.

But she has *gasp* FRENCH DOORS!
To the guillotine with the bourgeoisie oppressor.

Why are you taking umbrage at my characterization of the revolution the Vermont senator calls for as a bourgeoisie one ?
The American Revolution was a bourgeoisie revolution and it went pretty well.
