She aims to make life better for all Americans by putting herself through the nerve wracking process of seeking the nomination. Her only prize will be 4 or, hopefully 8 more years of public service, no matter how ungrateful some might be for the decisions she makes for the good of all.

might bother to do that.

As it is, you're simply insulting a public figure.

I'm quite sure, though, that if your same rude and petty language were directed at Sanders instead of Clinton, the boom would be lowered on you--and deservedly, too.

It's never a smooth move to resort to childish invective. It reveals more about the person flinging the insults than perhaps they intend to reveal.

This isn't a "morality lesson." It's an observation with regard to your comments. Nothing more.

And I won't put you on ignore. Just because I find your words petty and childish, doesn't mean that I need to run from them. In fact, I think it's far better to tell you, straight up, what I think of them.

119. That's her goal. To be the 1st female US President.

It's all about ambition. There isn't much devotion to principle there. It's all about expediency and saying whatever she thinks is necessary to get her elected.

The R's are probably already gleefully putting together anti-Hillary ads featuring her many flip flops.

Considering all the things that have been said about her, my comment is pretty mild.

Maybe if Bernie talked about the NRA he'd get to say "I" more...

Did her hairdo meet your approval? How about the jacket she wore? Any comments about her make-up?

If you would like to talk about her hair, makeup and clothes- feel free to start your own thread.

Sarcasm flies over my head. I lower myself because I made a rather mild quip about HRC that some don't like. I'm small and shallow. All of these things have been said right here in this thread to me all the while telling me that I'm offensive.

Hillary's a big girl people, for shits sake, she was Secretary of State, she can take a little rudeness.

Yeah, Hillary supporters are so morally superior to Sander's supporters. Except they're not. Don't whine about and lecture me on me how mean Sander's supporters are when the nastiness displayed here by some of HRC's supporters is just as bad.

The Sanders' supporters have yet to find something that they approve about Hillary. The whole thing is beyond tiresome by now.

That's why I told her I was for every one of the concerns she raised, that I was concerned she might lose track of. Gravely concerned. But mellow.

But so far it hasn't stopped anyone here, has it?

One would think that if pettyness is so wearing on some, that they would just use the ignore button and they'd never have to be exhausted again. Something to think about. No?

Sanders supporters don't call Hillary supporters "flying monkeys" or "lily white"

Yet we're the ones being called racist, go figure.

How important is the jacket?

Is it symbolic? Is it yesterday's news? Is it a shiny Western trophy product of Asian sweatshop labor? Does it sleep around? Can she wear it after Labor Day? Does it believe its sins are unpardonable? Boxers or briefs? Why can animals talk in folk tales but not in real life?

He says she's a mensch.

I thought she did brilliantly. Smaller forums are very good for her.

Bernie did okay, too, I thought. You could really tell he wanted to let loose with some of his trademark rant, though, but held back because this was not a big arena but a small auditorium -- a different crowd.

129. Sanders tends to use the first person plural (we). third person would be to do the Bob Dole thing.

think back to when you were first learning a foreign language (since grammar isn't much taught in English class in the U.S.:
French verb etre (to be) 1st person- je suis. Nous somme
2nd person Tu es. Vous etes (^ over the first "e&quot
3rd person- Il/elle est. Ils/Elles sont

Translates as: I am. We are
You are (singular). You are (plural)
He/she is They are

(It's surprising how long those first few verb conjugations that you learn stick with you. later stuff, not so much. )

She thinks she lost because she didn't talk about her biography, herself & how historic being elected as the 1st woman would be. Her staff has talked about it in interviews. So, now she spends a lot of time talking about herself.

If you looked at the audience at the end of her closing statement, there was very half-hearted clapping, no clapping and some people shaking their heads at her. And this was a pro-Dem audience. She has a problem.

This performance makes me feel better about Sanders' chances in NV. Hillary was bad and Sanders was the best I've seen him. He finally ditched the same stump speech and answered the questions. He talked about issues besides economic issues. Much improved as a candidate.

I can't wait to see the debate tomorrow night.
