Bernie does not have to do anything because people just send him money like the three million he received the other day. BTW MSNBC has been all Clinton all day today. Only time they mention Bernie is when they talk about Hillary putting down his policies.

The OP point, is we send Bernie money, so he hardly ever has to go into a room and eat rubber chicken every day. He gets to go out and campaign. Hillary has to do the 'fundraisers', because she doesn't have the number of donors that Sanders has. Remember, Sanders has more individuals donating, than any other candidate in history!

I'm sleepy too, from explaining very basic campaign finance to someone here, who doesn't get the difference between your campaign funds, and those of PAC's that are unattached entities.

A particular favorite of the media is to say crap to get both sides voters fighting. That's always a good news cycle for them.

In 2008 Clinton had a problem with maxed out donors. She went for a quick knock out of Obama and when that failed had much less cash on hand than the (future) President. Individuals can still only give $2,700 directly to the campaign and her bill for consultants, etc. must be huge.
