About Amb. Stevens

I have been away from the computer for several days and probably have missed a lot of info. But, I received an email today which claims to show two pics of Amb. Stevens being dragged through the streets before he was murdered. I saw a facebook logo in the left bottom corner of one of the pictures. The text was anti-Obama - saying other presidents would not have put up with this treatment of the U.S. The text also says that Stevens was raped before and after his murder.

Have any of you seen or heard this? Is this just an astroturf email going around to put down President Obama? I am not putting the pics on here, unless people ask. If so, I would try. But I would rather not. I tried to post this before, but it disappeared - so sorry if this comes up in duplicate.

1. He wasn't dragged through the streets

Those photos, which I have seen, show an unconscious Stevens being lifted and carried to a hospital, where he later died. His trousers were on and secure.

This is vicious crap being put out by people like Pamela Geller to trash all Muslims.

4. OK, I did some searches

I now know who Pamela Geller is (YUCK), and scopes has interesting info on this email - that it is untrue. Arwa Damon also gives a report and a video of how the Libyans tried to help Amb. Stevens.

Now, I need to respond to the a$$holes who sent me this email!

and tell them that anybody who clogs your inbox with this racist shit is going on block and can spend money on a stamp if they need to contact you. Hit "reply to all." Then block anybody who sends you this bullshit.

6. It was actually libyan citizens taking him to the hospital

Unfortunately he died. So did another two or three people who were with him. At least one was an ex-Seal, so I think they were his bodyguards. He wasn't at the American Embassy which has a safe room so he and his team were trying to get to a safe room in another part of the city they were visiting. There is strong evidence that it was Al Qaeda who used the public protests as a way to get to the Ambassador. So the connection to the video that made the citizens angry is suspect now.
