Even if he had gotten all of them Sanders wouldn't have gained a single state delegate as a result.

Besides, that's the most tortured reading if that rule imaginable. You toss the coin to see who loses the delegate. The loser loses.

Just have a primary for God's sake. O'Malley spent all that time and money in Iowa and because he didn't have enough supporters show up to be "viable" (what a concept — not) he didn't get any delegates.

With a primary he would have at least gotten something.
