Pleasant Hill, Iowa (CNN)A cold front and possible snowstorm was bearing down on central Iowa Monday night, but it would take more than weather to stop 102-year-old Ruline Steininger from caucusing.

Steininger, who was born seven years before women were granted the right to vote, has participated in twenty presidential elections, and has always supported Democrats. And with the possibility that Hillary Clinton could become the first woman in the White House, Steininger is making certain she does what she can to help.

"In my second century, I look forward to seeing a woman president," she wrote recently in a letter sent to the Clinton campaign. "I'm trying to live long enough to vote in the November election."

On Monday evening, Steininger's son, Stephen, drove her to Spring Hill Elementary School, where she participated in the two-hour process. Steininger, who met Clinton last week during a visit to Grand View University in Des Moines, was one of 98 people who sat in Clinton's corner of the school gym..........

Let's vote on the issues, instead. I'm voting for another potential FDR.

To this passionate, political feminist it's the issues that matter, not the chromosomes.

A war-without-scrutiny, corporate/financial sector crony doesn't get a pass because she happens to be a woman. Our low-income women are much more important to support, IMO.

Can't help but wonder whether, if Bernie was young, handsome and suave like Barak, "voting for a woman" would matter less, just like back in '08.
