Many GOP Operatives Conceding Ohio

Walter Shapiro: "Many of the well-known Ohio Republicans I interviewed offered their blunt assessments only after they were guaranteed complete anonymity. That is often the Faustian bargain of political journalism in 2012: robotic talking points on the record or something resembling honesty with no names attached. The reason, though, that I am emphasizing the don't-quote-me part of the equation is that I was stunned by the vehemence of the thumbs-down-on-Mitt verdict. All but conceding the state to Obama, these Republicans were offering what may be the biggest rejection of Ohio since Philip Roth wrote Goodbye Columbus."

But today's Columbus Dispatch poll shows Obama +9 in OHIO, so perhaps the Romney campaign really is imploding there.

Only concern about Ohio: how secure is the integrity of the voting system, and is it true reports are showing less Democrats voting than Republicans? That's what the right-wing reports coming out claim.

one knows something like that. Are people saying they're for Obama but don't intend to vote? I doubt that. I think the more likely scenario is of Republicans who don't like Romney and don't intend to vote. You're correct about the voting. Elections in Ohio, Florida and Georgia should be under federal monitoring.

15. It's not just Ohio's electoral votes that are at stake in Ohio.

Sherrod Brown also leads in the Ohio polls--but by less than Obama leads Romney, and that concerns me.

There are also congressional races and local races.

Ohio is an important state, and just this year, and not just because of the presidential election.

11. Don't you know that polls are all part of the liberal media conspiracy?

Pollsters are actually going round asking Democrats what they think, in order to hide the fact that Romney is really a million gazillion points ahead (source: Republicans).

and what he does care about hurts the interest of middle class voters.

That's a paraphrase of what a gop operative said. And it's true.

4. You know this kind of sentiment toward Mitt isn't just limited to Ohio campaign workers.

Mitt's personality has had the same impact in most if not all swing states.

And yet, this morning, the MSM drumbeat keeps pounding that "too close to call" message on the election, followed by the barrage of Koch Bros. and Karl Rove superpac ads that are oversaturating the airwaves, exaggerating or lying about Obama, Sherrod Brown and others.

8. Stunned that Ohio likely voters actually paid attention to Romney's smooth 47% speech?

Stunned that Ohio likely voters realized Rmoney's "great businessman" claim was based on destroying profitable companies just so Bain could Drain them to profit their small team of multimillionaires?

Let's hope Ohio voters realize 100% of Republicans voted to destroy Medicare too. To replace a working system with low administrative costs with Lyan's Cruel Coupon Care.

stench of Republican Teabagging ideology.

If its just Romney they are against, the ideology will be like wack-a-mole. It will keep on repeating like a bad Italian sausage sandwich.

12. Great post. I have a good idea about election fraud! When *&h]thead

stole the first election, we were in the middle of changing administrations, and all that. Then the regime was not going to investigate it's own shenanigans. This time, Pres. Obama is in place, does not have to select a transition team. Why not investigate the heck out of any criminal election fraud immediately after the election? Spend 4 years putting them all in prison. Put a frikken end to this behavior!

I don't trust these motherf***ers! Shit now they have "truthers" like the "birthers" who are actually lying in GAWD's name AGAIN. Will this insanity ever be overcome or is the GOP party on its way to onerous demise.
